The town stretches along its valley floor. Its streets follow the natural line of the land rather than a regular grid.

Mapa
Tafresh Map Poster
Tafresh lies high in the mountains of Markazi province in central Iran, between Tehran and Arak. On the map, the town follows the shape of its valley. Streets stretch along the valley floor and older lanes gather in the centre. The built area thins out quickly where the slopes become too steep, leaving bare ridges all around.
The town has a long reputation as a place of learning, and many Iranian scholars, writers and officials have family roots in Tafresh. Today it is home to Tafresh University. Orchards and gardens occupy the lower ground near the watercourses. They add softer patches to a landscape made mostly of rock and slope.
A Tafresh map poster captures a town shaped by its terrain. The valley streets are drawn in fine detail, and the surrounding mountains are suggested by the absence of lines. It suits people with family ties to the town, graduates of the university, and anyone who admires the compact, sheltered form of Iranian mountain towns.

Old centre
Narrower, more irregular lanes near the middle of town mark the older quarter. They form a denser texture within the wider street network.
Gardens and orchards
Green plots near the watercourses soften the edges of the town. They contrast with the bare mountain slopes that surround it on the map.
