Mapa
Wasquehal Map Poster & Print
Wasquehal sits between Lille, Roubaix and Marcq-en-Barœul in the continuous urban area of northern France. On a map there is almost no gap between it and its neighbours. Streets of terraced houses, former industrial sites, business parks and newer housing run straight across the municipal boundaries, so the town is defined more by its internal features than by any outer edge.
The clearest of those features is the Canal de Roubaix, which crosses the commune and links the Deûle near Lille with waterways toward the Scheldt basin. Its locks and towpaths now serve walkers and cyclists more than barges. On a monochrome print the canal is a strong line, running through a street pattern that grew up with the region's textile industry.
The Grand Boulevard, the tree-lined tram axis between Lille, Roubaix and Tourcoing, runs through this part of the metropolis and adds a long diagonal spine. A Wasquehal map poster works at a close scale, where individual streets are legible, or at a wider one that places the town inside the larger web of the metropolis.

Brick terraces
Rows of narrow terraced houses, typical of the Lille area, create closely spaced parallel streets that give the map a fine, even texture.

Zašto Wasquehal
Mapa koja nešto znači
Many people who live in Wasquehal work elsewhere in the metropolis, and a map that shows the town among its neighbours captures that daily geography. It is a natural gift for a first home, a move away from the Nord or a return to it.
Edit the title and subtitle to mark a street, the year you moved in or a family name, and adjust the coordinates line. Pick Blueprint for a technical look or Noir for a dark wall, then choose between a framed print and the $9 digital files.
