Valley core
The densest cluster of streets sits where the ground is flattest. This gives the poster a clear centre surrounded by lighter, more scattered lines.

Mapa
Zhuyang Map Poster & Print
Zhuyang is a town in Chongqing Municipality, in the hilly country west of the main urban area. The landscape is made of low ridges, narrow valleys and small streams. The town's layout follows that terrain closely, with streets running between the slopes instead of spreading across open ground, so the shape of the land is visible in every part of the map.
On the map this produces an irregular, organic pattern. There is a denser core where the ground levels out, and longer roads reach out along the contours toward the surrounding villages. Around the built-up area, fields and scattered settlements fill the gaps between the hills, as in many of the rural districts that make up much of Chongqing.
A Zhuyang map poster portrays the everyday China that lies well beyond the skyline images of the big cities. It shows a working town shaped by its hills, where the street pattern says as much about the land as about the people who built it over generations.

Contour roads
Roads leading out of town curve with the hills rather than cutting across them. They draw loose, flowing lines that echo the terrain beneath.
Farmland margins
Between the roads, the map opens into fields and the small settlements of the surrounding countryside, a quiet texture that frames the town at its edges.
