Level plain
With no hills to bend them, roads run in long straight segments, and the whole sheet takes on a calm, ruled quality that is typical of the North China Plain.

Mapa
Zhuzhai Map Poster & Print
Zhuzhai sits in the far north of Jiangsu province, in the low, open country that stretches across the North China Plain toward the borders of Shandong and Anhui. From above the land has almost no relief, so the map is drawn entirely by human lines: roads, lanes, ditches and the edges of cultivated plots laid out in long, patient rectangles.
The built-up core is small and tightly gathered, with a few main streets carrying most of the traffic and a finer mesh of residential lanes filling the blocks between them. Beyond that core the pattern loosens quickly into village clusters and farmland, and the grid of the town gives way to the wider grid of the fields. The contrast between the two scales is what makes the drawing work.
A Zhuzhai map poster keeps that quiet geometry and nothing else. There are no colours to suggest crops or seasons, only line weight and spacing. The result reads almost like a technical drawing of a plain, which suits a place whose character comes from steady, practical layout rather than from dramatic landmarks. It is a map for people who know the town from the ground and want to see it whole.

Town and field
The dense block pattern of the town centre sits inside a much larger lattice of farm tracks and plot edges, so two different grids share the same frame.
Water lines
Narrow channels and ditches cross the surrounding land, adding thin threads of line that follow the fields and connect to the drainage network of the wider region.

Zašto Zhuzhai
Mapa koja nešto znači
People hang a map of Zhuzhai because it is where they grew up, where family still lives, or where a chapter of their life took place. A small town rarely appears on printed maps at this scale, and seeing its streets drawn carefully gives it a presence on the wall that it seldom gets elsewhere.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised, so the poster can carry a family name, a year or a short dedication. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Download HD files for $9 or order a printed poster, with an optional wooden frame.
