River-shaped town
The built area follows the curve of the river, giving the poster a flowing, elongated composition instead of the usual compact block of streets.

Mapa
Zitong Map Poster & Print
Zitong is an urban subdistrict in the western part of Chongqing municipality, in the hilly country between the city of Chongqing and the wider Sichuan Basin. Like many towns in this region it follows the water. The built area stretches along a river valley, and the streets bend with the banks rather than forming a strict grid.
The surrounding landscape is one of rounded hills, terraced fields and scattered villages, and the map shows this in roads that climb and curve between settlements. Newer districts with wider streets and larger blocks sit beside older neighbourhoods closer to the water, so the town shows two distinct textures at once.
A Zitong map poster is a portrait of a working town in the Chongqing hinterland, not of the famous mountain city itself. It suits people who grew up here and moved on to Chongqing, Chengdu or further afield, and who want the bends of their home river on the wall.

Hill country roads
Roads leaving town wind through the surrounding hills, drawing loose, curving lines that contrast with the denser pattern in the centre.
Old and new districts
Older lanes near the water are tight and irregular, while newer areas have wider, straighter streets, and the difference reads clearly in black and white.

Zašto Zitong
Mapa koja nešto znači
Towns like Zitong rarely appear on posters, which is exactly why a map of one means so much to the people who come from it. It records the home streets precisely, without needing a famous skyline.
Give it a title of your own, a subtitle for a family name or year, and adjust the coordinates line. Pick Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and check the free preview before buying the $9 files or a printed poster.
