El mapa
Bainbridge Island Map Poster & Print
Bainbridge Island sits in Puget Sound, west of Seattle, and its map is defined by the water around it. The shoreline is long and deeply indented, with bays, coves and harbours cutting into the land. Eagle Harbor reaches into the island's eastern side, and the town centre of Winslow sits on its northern shore beside the ferry terminal.
Washington State Ferries run from Winslow across the Sound to downtown Seattle, and at the island's northern tip the Agate Pass Bridge connects it to the Kitsap Peninsula. Inside the coastline, roads wind through forest and rural residential land. The game of pickleball was invented on Bainbridge Island in 1965, a small fact that many residents are proud of.
A Bainbridge Island map poster makes the most of that shape: an intricate coastline, the harbour, a thin network of roads, and plenty of water around it all. It suits islanders, commuters who know the ferry by heart and anyone who has spent summers on these shores.
