Bothell sits at the northern end of Lake Washington, straddling the line between King and Snohomish counties. From above, the Sammamish River winds through the low ground at the heart of the city, while residential streets climb the wooded slopes on either side in curving loops and cul-de-sacs.
Interstate 405 cuts through the city as a strong diagonal, and the Burke-Gilman and Sammamish River trails follow the water, linking Bothell to Seattle and Redmond. A Bothell map poster shows how these long lines divide a landscape of forested hills and quiet neighbourhoods.
