El mapa
Deggendorf Map Poster & Print
Deggendorf sits on the north bank of the Danube in Lower Bavaria, just upstream of where the Isar joins it. On a map the old town appears as an elongated core built around a broad central market street, with lanes branching off to either side and newer districts spreading along the river and up toward the hills.
To the north the ground rises into the Bavarian Forest, and the town is often described as a gateway to it. The contrast is visible from above: a flat river plain with bridges and embankments to the south, and roads winding into wooded slopes to the north. Motorways meet nearby, framing the town with long sweeping curves.
A Deggendorf map poster brings these layers together in one composition: the wide river, the tight medieval centre, and the loosening street pattern toward the forest. The town is also home to a technical university, whose campus adds another cluster of buildings to the modern edge of the map.

Long market square
The historic centre is organised around a stretched central square, a classic Bavarian market layout that stands out as a thick spine among narrower streets.
Edge of the forest
North of the centre the streets begin to curve and climb, following the first slopes of the Bavarian Forest rather than the straight lines of the river plain.
