Great Miami River
The river runs through the centre of the city, dividing it into east and west. It is the defining line of the poster and the reason the settlement began here.

El mapa
Hamilton Map Poster & Print
Hamilton is the county seat of Butler County in southwest Ohio, between Cincinnati and Dayton. It grew from Fort Hamilton, built in 1791 on the Great Miami River, and the river still divides the city on the map, curving north to south through the middle. Downtown sits on the east bank with a grid of straight streets, while the west side spreads out with its own pattern.
Bridges across the Great Miami link the two halves, and the riverbanks have been kept largely open, with trails and parkland along the water. The city calls itself the City of Sculpture, and Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park lies on its edge, set in rolling wooded land that shows on a map as an open break in the street network.
A Hamilton map poster brings together the river, the older industrial and residential grids and the newer suburban roads beyond them. The structure is balanced and easy to read, which suits large print sizes, and the strong vertical line of the river gives the composition a natural centre whichever of the five styles you choose.

Downtown grid
The historic centre on the east bank follows a compact rectangular plan around the county courthouse, with older residential districts close by on either side.
Sculpture city
Hamilton's identity as the City of Sculpture is anchored by Pyramid Hill, a large park of rolling hills and outdoor artworks that appears on the map as open ground.
