Subdivision loops
Each neighbourhood forms its own knot of curved streets and cul-de-sacs, so the map reads as a series of small self-contained clusters joined by a few longer roads.

El mapa
Highview Map Poster & Print
Highview is a residential community in southeastern Jefferson County, inside the consolidated Louisville Metro area. Seen from above, it has none of the rigid grid of the old city. It is a patchwork of postwar and later subdivisions, each with its own set of looping streets, crescents and dead-end courts.
A few older through-roads cross the area. They were once rural routes, and they still carry traffic between the subdivisions and toward the interstates. Small creeks and wooded strips wind through the gaps between neighbourhoods, and they show up on the map as soft, irregular breaks in the street pattern.
A Highview map poster captures that suburban calligraphy. The streets curl back on themselves in dozens of small loops, and the effect in black ink is more decorative than you might expect from a quiet part of Kentucky. It can be a very personal picture of the streets where someone learned to ride a bike.

Old rural arteries
Longer, straighter roads older than the subdivisions cut across the area and tie it back to central Louisville and the wider county.
Creek corridors
Narrow stream valleys and wooded strips run between developments, leaving winding gaps that give the map breathing room.

Per què Highview
Un mapa amb significat
Suburban maps often mean the most to the people who lived in them: the first house, the school route, the street where the family still gathers. This one records those loops accurately and without clutter.
Add your own title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps a street name or the year you moved in, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand.
