Mediterranean shoreline
A long, gently curving coast forms the northern edge of the map. Its clean line and the open sea beyond give the poster a strong horizon.

El mapa
Janzūr Map Poster & Print
Janzūr lies on the Libyan coast just west of Tripoli, and the two now almost run together along the sea. From above the town forms a long strip. The Mediterranean draws a smooth, uninterrupted edge to the north, the coastal highway runs parallel to it, and neighbourhoods and walled gardens fill the ground between the road and the shore.
The area has been settled since antiquity. Excavations here have uncovered a Roman-era necropolis with painted tombs, and the finds are shown in a local museum. Today the town is largely residential, with a seafront used by families from across the Tripoli area in summer.
A Janzūr map poster is defined by that horizontal rhythm: sea, shoreline, road, town and fields laid out one above another. In black and white the empty water gives the composition room to breathe, while the streets inland supply fine detail. It makes a balanced, quiet piece for anyone attached to this stretch of coast.

Coastal highway
The main coast road runs east toward Tripoli and west along the shore. It is the spine that the town's neighbourhoods have grown along.
Garden plots inland
South of the built-up strip, walled farms and orchards divide the land into small irregular parcels, which add a softer texture to the drawing.

Per què Janzūr
Un mapa amb significat
For people from Janzūr, or those who have spent summers on its beaches, this map holds the familiar outline of home and the sea. It also appeals to anyone who likes coastal maps where the water does half the work.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with the name of a street or a year, and choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand suits a Mediterranean shoreline particularly well.
