El mapa
Lindau Map Poster & Print
Lindau is one of the most recognisable places on Lake Constance. Its historic centre occupies a small island just off the northeastern shore, connected to the mainland by a road bridge and a railway embankment. On a map, the island appears as a compact oval packed with streets, while the modern town spreads along the shore behind it.
The island's harbour is its best-known image. The entrance is framed by a lighthouse and a statue of the Bavarian lion, and it looks out over the water toward Austria and Switzerland. Lindau is also known internationally as the host of the annual Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings, which bring laureates and young scientists together on the island.
A Lindau map poster makes the most of this striking setting. The dense street pattern of the island stands out against the open water, and the two crossings form fine lines to the shore. The broader mainland districts complete the scene. The lake gives the composition a generous amount of empty space.

Harbour entrance
The harbour opens to the lake between two moles, marked by the lighthouse and the lion statue. It forms a small, precise notch in the island's outline.
Bridge and causeway
A road bridge and a railway embankment link the island to the mainland. They draw two slim lines across the water.
