From above, the town reads as a tighter cluster of blocks and roads surrounded by a regular patchwork of farmland. Straight country roads lead away in several directions, linking it to neighbouring villages and towns across the plain.
The geometry here comes from agriculture and planning rather than from hills or coastlines. Field boundaries, drainage ditches and small watercourses divide the land into long, orderly strips, and the town sits within that pattern like a denser knot. Newer streets tend to follow straighter lines, while older lanes are shorter and less regular.
