El mapa
Pearl River Map Poster & Print
Pearl River is a hamlet in the town of Orangetown, in Rockland County, just north of the New Jersey line. From above it is a dense, mostly residential grid of tree-lined blocks, with a main commercial street near the railroad station and a pattern of shorter streets and loops filling in the neighbourhoods around it.
The railway cutting through town is one of the defining lines on the map, and it explains much of the hamlet's growth as a commuter community. To the west, Lake Tappan, a reservoir on the Hackensack River, opens a wide stretch of water, while a large pharmaceutical campus, long associated with Lederle Laboratories, occupies a distinct block of land.
Pearl River is known locally for one of the largest St. Patrick's Day parades in New York State. A Pearl River map poster captures the everyday side of the place, the blocks, the station and the water, in a style that sits comfortably in a family home.
