Pinto sits on the flat, open land south of Madrid, and its map is defined by clear edges. The A-4 motorway runs along one side, the commuter railway along another, and between them the town forms a dense, roughly rounded core that gives way to newer residential blocks and industrial estates on the outskirts.
At the centre, narrow streets lead to the main square and the Torre de Éboli, a fifteenth-century tower. It is remembered as the place where Ana de Mendoza, Princess of Éboli, was held in the sixteenth century. Local tradition has long described Pinto as the geographic centre of the Iberian Peninsula.
