Section-line arterials
Long straight roads follow the old survey grid of the plains and divide the area into large squares. They give the poster a strong underlying structure.

Sherrelwood Map Poster & Print
Sherrelwood is an unincorporated community in Adams County, just north of Denver. It sits in the belt of mid-century neighbourhoods that grew along the city's northern approaches. On a map it is mostly housing: rectangular blocks, looping side streets and a few long arterial roads that carry traffic north and south through the metro area.
The Colorado Front Range suburbs were laid out on the survey grid of the plains, and Sherrelwood follows that logic. Major roads mark out mile-square sections. Within them, smaller streets bend into crescents and cul-de-sacs. The pattern is modest and easy to read, with parks and school grounds as the main breaks.
A Sherrelwood map poster suits people who know the area as home rather than as a destination. The print picks up the particular lines of the neighbourhood, including the street where someone grew up and the route to school. Seen in monochrome, the familiar suburban grid starts to look like a drawing in its own right.

Curving residential streets
Inside the grid, neighbourhood streets bend into loops and short dead ends. This finer pattern contrasts with the straight main roads.
Open green patches
Parks and school grounds appear as clear pale shapes among the houses. They are small pauses in an otherwise evenly built map.

Per què Sherrelwood
Un mapa amb significat
Suburbs are rarely the subject of wall art, but they are where most people actually live. A Sherrelwood map is a way to mark a first house, a childhood street or a family that has stayed in north Denver for decades.
Add a title, a subtitle such as a move-in date, and the coordinates line, then choose one of five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
