Teo Map Poster
Teo is not a single town but a municipality of rural parishes just south of Santiago de Compostela. On a map it looks like a network rather than a centre. Small hamlets are joined by narrow country roads, stone-walled lanes and wooded slopes, typical of inland Galicia. The only strong straight lines come from the main roads and the railway heading to Santiago.
The river Ulla forms the municipality's southern edge, and the Sar runs through the landscape on its way to join it. The Portuguese Way of the Camino de Santiago also passes through Teo, so for many pilgrims this is one of the last stretches before they reach the cathedral city.
A Teo map poster captures that loose, branching pattern of settlement. The drawing is full of fine curving lines and small clusters, with river valleys running across it, and it reads quite differently from a conventional urban grid.
