Leyte Gulf shoreline
The eastern edge of the poster is the gulf itself, a long, smooth coastline that fills the frame with open water and gives the town its clear orientation toward the sea.

关于地图
Abuyog Map Poster & Print
Abuyog is on the eastern coast of Leyte, in the Philippines' Eastern Visayas region, facing the open water of Leyte Gulf. On a map the town centre, or poblacion, is a compact cluster of streets near the shoreline. The coastal highway runs through it, heading north toward Tacloban and south along the coast. Inland, the street pattern thins quickly into farmland and wooded hills.
The coastline shapes the whole composition. Barangays follow the shore as a chain of small settlements, and rivers come down from the interior to meet the gulf, cutting short breaks into the coastal strip. The town's inner grid is modest and regular. It is organised around a central plaza and church, a layout found in many Visayan towns.
An Abuyog map poster works because of that balance between sea and land. Leyte Gulf is widely remembered for the Allied landings and the naval battle of 1944. Day to day, though, the coast is a working shore of fishing, coconut groves and rice fields, and that everyday landscape is what the map records.

Coastal highway
The main road runs parallel to the shore and threads the poblacion and neighbouring barangays together. On the map it is the strongest single line, a spine the town hangs from.
Rivers from the interior
Streams and rivers descend from the forested uplands to the gulf. Their winding courses break up the coastal strip and add fine, organic lines to the otherwise simple street pattern.

为什么选 Abuyog
一张有意义的地图
For families from Leyte, including many who now live abroad, a map of Abuyog is a direct way to keep a hometown on the wall. The sea, the highway and the plaza grid read immediately to anyone who knows the place.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a barangay name, a family name or a meaningful date. The poster comes in five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Blueprint suits the gulf coastline well.
