Dispersed settlement
Houses are spread across the landscape rather than concentrated in one core, so the map shows a fine network of lanes covering the whole frame.

关于地图
Ālankōd Map Poster & Print
Ālankōd is a town in the Malappuram district of Kerala, in the green lowlands a short distance inland from the Arabian Sea. Like much of this part of Kerala, it does not have a sharp urban edge; houses and lanes spread across the landscape in an almost continuous pattern.
On a map, roads twist around paddy fields, ponds and small hills, connecting homesteads and neighbouring villages. The main roads form a looser network, and the smaller lanes fill the gaps with curving, irregular lines. In black and white, this produces a soft, woven texture rather than a grid.
An Ālankōd map poster captures that distinctive Kerala settlement form, where town and countryside blend together. It is quiet, organic and detailed, a portrait of a place shaped by water, farmland and the dense greenery of the Malabar coast.

Curving lanes
Small roads bend around fields, water bodies and gentle rises in the land, forming irregular loops that look almost hand-drawn on the poster.
Coastal lowland
The town lies in Kerala's low coastal belt, where paddy fields and wetlands create open spaces between clusters of homes and roads.

为什么选 Ālankōd
一张有意义的地图
Many families from Malappuram live and work far from home, including in the Gulf. A map of Ālankōd is a subtle way to keep that place close, with its familiar roads and neighbourhoods on the wall.
Add a personal title, subtitle and coordinates line, then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Order the HD files for $9 or a printed poster shipped from a nearby print partner.
