Aldridge Map Poster & Print
Aldridge is a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Walsall, in the West Midlands of England, a few miles north of Birmingham. It began as a village and grew mainly in the twentieth century, when housing estates spread across the surrounding farmland. The old village core is still visible on the map, with newer residential streets built out around it.
From above, Aldridge is a typical English suburban plan: winding crescents, closes and cul-de-sacs branching off a few main roads. A canal runs along the western side of the area, and to the north and east the houses give way to fields, woods and quarry land that form part of the green belt.
