Alot Map Poster & Print
Alot is a town in the Ratlam district of Madhya Pradesh, on the Malwa plateau in the west of the state. On a map it forms a compact, irregular cluster of lanes and small blocks, with a handful of main roads leaving the centre toward nearby towns and villages. The land around it is level and open, divided into large farm plots.
Alot lies on the railway between Nagda and Kota, part of the long main line linking Delhi and Mumbai, and the track crosses the map as a long, confident stroke. Around it, Malwa's fertile black soils support farming, so the countryside is a patchwork of fields, tracks and small ponds spreading out in all directions.
