Market core
The older centre forms a denser knot of lanes and junctions where the main roads meet, standing out clearly against the looser residential areas around it.

关于地图
Angul Map Poster & Print
Angul sits on the undulating plateau of central Odisha. It is a district headquarters whose street plan grows outward from an older market core along the main roads. From above, the town is loosely built, with wide gaps of open ground, ponds and fields between neighbourhoods, and forested hills visible towards the edges of the region.
The wider area is one of the most industrial landscapes in eastern India. The Talcher coalfield lies close by in the Brahmani valley. Large plants, including the aluminium smelter of NALCO, have their own planned townships with regular grids and rail sidings. An Angul map poster shows the meeting of an old town with this newer industrial geometry.
Angul gives its name to the district, which reaches from farmland to dense forest and includes part of the Satkosia gorge on the Mahanadi. The town itself is a working place rather than a tourist stop. Its map records how roads, railways and settlements have arranged themselves around the resources in the ground.

Industrial townships
Planned colonies built for the region's major plants appear as tidy, regular grids, a strong contrast with the organic growth of the historic town.
Rail and road lines
Railway tracks and highways cross the landscape in long straight strokes, linking the town with the coal and power belt of the Brahmani valley.

为什么选 Angul
一张有意义的地图
For engineers, families and workers who have spent years in Angul, or grew up in its colonies, this map is a record of home rather than a souvenir. It also makes a thoughtful gift for someone moving on to a new posting.
Write your own title and subtitle, perhaps a colony name or joining date, and keep the coordinates beneath. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then take the HD files to a local printer or order a print.
