Ayase Map Poster & Print
Ayase is a small city in central Kanagawa, between Ebina, Yamato and Fujisawa. On a map it shows a mix of residential streets, factories and pockets of farmland. The most striking feature is the long runway of Naval Air Facility Atsugi, which crosses the boundary between Ayase and neighbouring Yamato.
The city is known in Japan for one unusual fact: it is the only city in Kanagawa without a railway station. Residents travel to stations in neighbouring cities, and roads and bus routes, including the Tomei Expressway and its local interchange, are what connect the town.
An Ayase map poster shows a place defined as much by what surrounds it as by its own centre. Low-rise neighbourhoods, industrial plots and fields fill the city limits, and the airfield cuts a long, clean shape along one side. It makes an unusual and quietly graphic print.

No railway station
Ayase is the only city in Kanagawa without a train station. That means no rail line runs through its centre, and its street pattern is looser than in neighbouring cities.
Fields and factories
Farmland and industrial sites are mixed in with the residential streets. They give the print open patches and larger blocks alongside the fine suburban grid.
