关于地图
Beloretsk Map Poster & Print
Beloretsk sits in the Southern Urals, in a valley on the upper Belaya river in Bashkortostan. Its origins are industrial. An ironworks was founded here in 1762, and like many Ural factory towns it was built around a dammed pond that powered the works. On the map that pond is still the centre of gravity, with streets arranged around its shores.
Forested ridges enclose the town on several sides, so the built-up area stretches along the valley and the river rather than spreading in a circle. The metallurgical plant remains a large block in the townscape. Beloretsk has long been known for steel wire and cable production, and railways and roads squeeze through the same narrow valley.
A Beloretsk map poster shows an industrial settlement shaped by mountains and water. The pond and the river give the design its main curves, and the grid of residential streets fits in between. The hills around the edge leave broad open space that frames the town.

Belaya valley
The river runs through a valley between ridges, and the town stretches along it. Roads and the railway follow the same line through the mountains.
Plant territory
The metallurgical works occupies a large, distinctly shaped area near the pond. It is a reminder that Beloretsk grew up around its factory.

为什么选 Beloretsk
一张有意义的地图
Ural factory towns have a character of their own: the pond, the plant and the hills rising all around. For people born in Beloretsk, or with family who worked at the plant, this map is a very personal piece of geography.
Add a title, subtitle and coordinates line of your choice, such as a family name or the year a grandparent started work at the plant. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and get HD files or a printed poster.
