Colonial centre
The historic core follows a regular grid of square blocks around a central plaza. It is the densest and most ordered part of the map.

关于地图
Cadereyta Jiménez Map Poster & Print
Cadereyta Jiménez lies in Nuevo León, east of the Monterrey metropolitan area, on the highway toward the Gulf coast and the Tamaulipas border. From above the historic centre is a regular colonial grid around a main square. Newer neighbourhoods spread out from it, and large industrial areas lie on the edges.
The town is one of the older settlements in Nuevo León, founded during the Spanish colonial period. Today it is best known as the site of a major PEMEX oil refinery, which appears on a map as a large, geometric complex of tanks and processing units. Its footprint is comparable to that of the town itself.
A Cadereyta Jiménez map poster shows the contrast between the town's fine, orderly centre and the massive shapes of the industry around it. The main highway runs through the composition as a strong line, and the surrounding flat land is divided into fields and ranch plots.

Refinery complex
A large oil refinery lies on the edge of town. Its tanks and processing units form a distinctive geometric pattern, very different from the residential streets.
Highway east
The main highway from Monterrey toward the Gulf coast passes through. Its long, straight line anchors the composition.
