The town grid
Regular blocks set around a central square form a clear chequerboard, the kind of Spanish colonial-style plan that reads cleanly in black and white at any print size.

关于地图
Cañas Map Poster & Print
Cañas sits in the dry northwest of Costa Rica, in Guanacaste Province, where the land opens into broad cattle country and irrigated fields. From above, the town is a tidy rectangle of blocks laid out on a regular grid, with the Inter-American Highway running along its edge and carrying traffic between the Nicaraguan border and the Central Valley.
On a Cañas map poster the pattern is easy to read: straight streets meeting at right angles, a central square with the church, and the grid thinning into farm tracks and scattered buildings at the outskirts. Beyond the town, rivers draining the Guanacaste uplands wind southwest across the plain toward the Tempisque, one of the country's major lowland rivers.
The town is known well beyond its size for its parish church, whose walls are covered in colourful mosaic work by the Costa Rican artist Otto Apuy. Cañas is also a common base for trips to the Corobicí River and to the Tenorio volcano area to the north, which gives the place a steady flow of travellers passing through.

Inter-American Highway
The long highway runs past the town as a strong continuous line, linking Cañas north toward Liberia and Nicaragua and south toward Puntarenas and San José.
Lowland rivers
Rivers flowing off the northern uplands cross the plain around Cañas in loose curves, adding soft organic lines to the edges of an otherwise orderly street pattern.

为什么选 Cañas
一张有意义的地图
For people who grew up in Guanacaste or spent time on the Corobicí and around Tenorio, Cañas is a place of long dry-season light and open country. A clean grid on the wall is a quiet way to keep that memory close.
The poster can carry your own title, a subtitle such as a family name or a date, and a coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand to suit the room it will hang in.
