Linear river town
Built on a narrow valley floor, the town stretches along the river rather than spreading outward, giving the map a long, sinuous outline.

关于地图
Chengxiang Map Poster & Print
Chengxiang is the seat of Wuxi County in the northeastern corner of Chongqing, deep in mountainous country near the Daba range. The town sits where the valley opens just enough for building, and the map shows it squeezed between steep slopes. Streets run parallel to the river, and the urban area thins into a single road wherever the valley narrows.
The river is the organising line of the whole place. It winds through the town, and bridges link the two banks at intervals, each one a visible crossing on the map. Farther downstream, the valley continues towards the Yangtze region and the gorges that made this part of China well known, while the surrounding peaks leave little room for anything but the valley floor.
A Chengxiang map poster shows a town defined by its terrain. Instead of a broad grid, you see a long, linear settlement that follows the water, with short side streets climbing into the hills. The shape is unusual and immediately recognisable, which makes it a strong subject for a narrow crop or a portrait format.

Bridges across the valley
Several bridges link the two banks, and each one appears as a clear connecting line between the parallel streets on either side.
Mountain surroundings
Steep terrain presses in on all sides, so roads leaving town follow side valleys and switchbacks, visible as curving lines at the edge of the map.

为什么选 Chengxiang
一张有意义的地图
For people from Wuxi County, the curve of the river through Chengxiang is the shape of home. The map suits anyone who values a place defined by landscape, and it works especially well in tall, narrow frames.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a family name or a meaningful date. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Download HD files for $9 or order a printed poster.
