关于地图
Clovis Map Poster & Print
Clovis sits on the northeastern edge of the Fresno metropolitan area, in California's Central Valley. On the map it is organised around a grid of long, straight avenues set roughly a mile apart, with curving suburban streets and cul-de-sacs filling the spaces between them. Irrigation canals, typical of this farming region, cut diagonally across parts of the grid.
The city was named after Clovis Cole, a local wheat farmer, and grew up around a railway stop in the late nineteenth century. Its small historic centre, Old Town Clovis, still has a traditional main street feel. The city calls itself the gateway to the Sierras, and each spring it hosts the Clovis Rodeo, a long-running local tradition.
A Clovis map poster shows how a railway town became a large suburban city. The regular section-line avenues give the map a clear structure, while newer neighbourhoods add loops and curves. A former rail line, now a trail, runs through town as a reminder of its origins, adding another straight line to the composition.

Old Town Clovis
The historic centre around the old rail stop keeps a compact, older street pattern, clearly different from the curving subdivisions built later around it.
Irrigation canals
Canals running at angles across the grid carry water for the valley's farms and create unexpected diagonal lines on an otherwise orderly map.

为什么选 Clovis
一张有意义的地图
Clovis is a place many families choose for its schools and neighbourhoods, and a map of it makes a natural housewarming or graduation gift. The title and subtitle can name a street, a school year or the date you moved in.
The long avenues and curving suburbs look crisp in Classic black and white and Blueprint. Sand reflects the dry valley light, while Paper is soft and neutral and Noir gives a bold modern look. The coordinates line can point to your own address.
