Valley streets
The town's roads curve to follow the natural contours of the land, giving the poster a flowing, irregular pattern shaped entirely by the mountains.

关于地图
Domingos Martins Map Poster & Print
Domingos Martins lies in the mountains west of Vitória, reached by the BR-262 as it climbs away from the coast into the highlands of Espírito Santo. The town grew from a colony founded in the 1840s by German-speaking immigrants, among them many Pomeranians, and that heritage still shows in its architecture, its food and the family names of the region.
The municipality is named after Domingos José Martins, a native of Espírito Santo who took part in the Pernambucan revolution of 1817. Its best-known landmark is Pedra Azul, a great granite dome protected in a state park, whose bare rock faces change colour through the day and are visible from far along the highway.
On a Domingos Martins map poster, the streets do not form a grid. They follow the folds of the terrain, bending along valleys and climbing slopes, with forest pressing close between them. It is the map of a highland town that grew to fit its hills, and it looks entirely unlike the coastal cities below.

BR-262 climb
The federal highway winds through the municipality on its way from the coast into the interior, a long ribbon that ties the town to Vitória.
Highland landscape
Ridges, forest and farmland surround the settled area, and the empty spaces on the map hint at the mountain scenery that draws visitors to the region.
