Compound texture
Walled household compounds packed close together fill the centre with small, irregular shapes, a grain very different from the gridded plots of planned cities.

关于地图
Dukku Map Poster & Print
Dukku lies in the savanna country of Gombe State in northeastern Nigeria and is the seat of a local government area of the same name. From above, the town is a close cluster of compounds and lanes, with a few firmer roads running through it and out into the surrounding fields.
The map is made mostly of small plots. Walled family compounds give the centre a fine, irregular texture, and it gets looser towards the edges, where farmland and scattered trees take over. A Dukku map poster keeps that fine grain and the thin lines of the roads that tie the town to neighbouring settlements across the plain.
Around the town the land is open and gently rolling, cut by seasonal streams that fill in the rains and dry out later in the year. Farm tracks spread in every direction. Printed in black and white, they give the sheet a quiet, spreading pattern with a solid core in the middle.

Roads outward
A few main roads run through the town and out into the countryside, and they give the map a clear structure against the looser web of lanes and farm paths.
Seasonal streams
Thin, winding watercourses cross the surrounding savanna. They are easy to miss on the ground in the dry months but show clearly as lines on a printed map.

为什么选 Dukku
一张有意义的地图
For people from Dukku, or with family in Gombe State, this map is a portrait of home drawn from above: the lanes you walk, the road out of town and the fields beyond. A small place like this rarely gets its own print, which is why the map feels personal.
You can edit the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a family name, a year or a short dedication. Then pick one of five styles, Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, to suit the room.
