Winding lanes
Narrow roads curve between homesteads and gardens, forming an organic web that connects houses across the area rather than a single dense core.

关于地图
Eravattūr Map Poster & Print
Eravattūr is a settlement in Kozhikode district, in northern Kerala. Like much of the Malabar countryside, it does not have a single dense centre so much as a spread of houses, shops and institutions along roads, each set in its own garden among coconut palms and other trees.
From above, the map shows a network of winding roads and lanes linking these homesteads, with small junctions acting as local centres. Paddy fields and low-lying land form open strips between areas of higher ground, and streams and ponds add small watery details to the pattern.
A Eravattūr map poster shows this distinctive Kerala form of settlement, where the line between village and town is soft. In black and white, the curving lanes and open fields create a delicate, balanced composition, far removed from the dense grids of large cities.
