关于地图
Fate Map Poster & Print
Fate is a town in Jilin province in northeast China, and its name is a romanisation of the Chinese name, not the English word. It lies in the broad agricultural lowlands of the Songhua river basin, a region of long, cold winters and wide, level farmland. On a map, that openness is the first thing you notice.
The town itself forms a modest grid. Its streets run at right angles, and a few main roads extend well beyond the last houses. Around it, fields form a patchwork of large rectangles, their boundaries almost ruler-straight. Tree lines, drainage channels and smaller settlements mark the plain here and there, but the overall impression is one of space.
A Fate map poster has a spare, graphic quality that suits minimalist interiors. The dense block of the town sits within an almost abstract field pattern, and the black lines on white read more like a diagram than a landscape. It makes a considered gift for someone with family ties to Jilin's farming country.

Rectangular fields
Large, regular field parcels surround the town on all sides. Their straight edges create a strong geometric pattern typical of northeast China's plains.
Outbound roads
A few main roads leave the town in long straight lines, linking it to neighbouring settlements and giving the composition a clear sense of direction.

为什么选 Fate
一张有意义的地图
The map appeals for two reasons: a personal connection to a Jilin farming town, and the clean geometry of the plain itself. The unusual English reading of the name also makes it a conversation piece.
Edit the title and subtitle freely, for example adding the Chinese characters or a year, and adjust the coordinates line. Choose among five styles. Printed posters on matte paper ship from partners in more than 30 countries.
