Lettered roads
Roads named after Gujarati letters and numbers cross at regular intervals. The system turns every junction into a coordinate and gives the poster a rational rhythm.

关于地图
Gandhinagar Map Poster & Print
Gandhinagar was built from the 1960s as the new capital of Gujarat, just north of Ahmedabad. Its plan is one of the clearest in India. Thirty numbered sectors are arranged in a grid, each a residential neighbourhood with its own shops and schools, separated by wide roads and tree-lined belts. The Sabarmati River flows along the eastern edge of the city.
The main roads carry letters of the Gujarati alphabet, such as Ka, Kha, Ga and Gha, in one direction and numbers in the other, so junctions have names like Gh-4 or Ch-3. The plan was drawn by the Indian architects H. K. Mewada and Prakash Apte, who had worked with Le Corbusier on Chandigarh.
The capitol complex sits at the centre, and the Swaminarayan Akshardham temple stands in Sector 20. Gandhinagar is often counted among the greenest cities in India. A Gandhinagar map poster shows planning at its most legible, with the letters and numbers of its roads laid over the land like a coordinate system.

Thirty sectors
Each sector forms a self-contained block with its own internal streets. Together they create a clear, repeating pattern across the map.
Sabarmati edge
The river runs along the eastern side of the city. Its wide, sandy bed and green banks soften the geometry of the plan.

为什么选 Gandhinagar
一张有意义的地图
Gandhinagar is home to government employees, students and families who value its calm and space. A map of the city makes an elegant piece for a home office, and a sector number in the subtitle makes it personal to anyone who lives there.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line are all editable, and there are five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Blueprint suits the city's planned geometry. Digital files cost $9, and framed or unframed prints ship from partners in 30+ countries.
