关于地图
Mahesāna Map Poster & Print
Mahesāna lies on the level plain of north Gujarat, north of Ahmedabad. Its older centre is a compact area of narrow streets near the railway, while newer residential societies extend outward in more regular blocks. Highways and rail lines radiate from the town, and fields press close to its edges, giving the map a clear boundary between town and farmland.
The town is closely associated with dairying. Dudhsagar Dairy, based here, is among the largest milk cooperatives in Asia, and the Mehsani breed of buffalo takes its name from the district. Oil and gas fields in the surrounding area also brought industry. A short drive away stands the Sun Temple at Modhera, one of the finest monuments of the Solanki period.
A Mahesāna map poster shows a town built on flat ground with no river or coastline to organise it, so roads and railway do that work instead. The result is a clean pattern of straight lines crossing near the centre, with the looser grain of newer neighbourhoods filling the spaces between them.

Old town streets
Close to the station, the street pattern turns tight and irregular, forming the densest part of the map and the historic commercial heart of Mahesāna.
Highway corridors
Major roads leave the town toward Ahmedabad, Palanpur and other centres of north Gujarat, drawing long straight spokes across the surrounding fields.
