关于地图
Haeju Map Poster & Print
Haeju is the capital of South Hwanghae province in the southwest of North Korea, close to the inter-Korean border. It sits at the head of Haeju Bay, an inlet of the Yellow Sea, where the coast breaks into peninsulas, tidal flats and small islands. On a map the city fills a narrow plain between the water and the hills that rise to the north.
The urban core is arranged around a few broad avenues and a harbour area along the shore. Residential blocks extend toward the higher ground, and rail and road lines lead inland along the valleys. The coast here is so irregular that the outline of land and sea is often the most striking element on any view of the area.
Outside the country, little is known about the city, so a Haeju map poster keeps to what the map itself shows: the shape of the bay, the pattern of streets and the terrain behind them. In black and white, the intricate Yellow Sea shoreline becomes a detailed image that holds attention without needing any explanation.

Hills to the north
Rising ground behind the city limits its spread and gives the map a clear boundary, where the streets give way to open, unbuilt terrain.
Broken coastline
Peninsulas, inlets and small islands break up the coast around Haeju. Together they make one of the more intricate patterns of land and water on the Korean peninsula.

为什么选 Haeju
一张有意义的地图
For people with family roots in Hwanghae province, or for those who study Korea and its geography, a map of Haeju is a rare object. It shows the city simply and without commentary, as a place of water, hills and streets.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with a family name or a year, and choose one of five styles, from Classic black & white to Blueprint. You can edit the coordinates line too. HD files are $9, and a free watermarked preview is always available.
