Old town lanes
Narrow, winding lanes form a dense, irregular pattern in the historic core, very different from the planned grids of newer towns.

关于地图
Halvad Map Poster & Print
Halvad is a town in the Morbi district of Gujarat, on the flat country close to the Little Rann of Kutch. From above, the older part of town is a dense, irregular tangle of lanes, typical of historic settlements in the region. Newer streets and roads spread out from it more loosely, and beyond the edges the landscape opens into farmland and eventually the vast, pale flats of the Rann.
The town has a long history as one of the seats of the Jhala rulers of the area, and water has always mattered here. A lake and old palace buildings form part of the historic core. On the map, the water body reads as a smooth shape set against the fine texture of the lanes around it.
A Halvad map poster suits anyone who knows the town's quiet streets or has family ties to this part of Saurashtra. In black and white, the contrast between the compact old centre and the sheer emptiness of the land around it gives the map its character: a small, dense place at the edge of one of India's most unusual landscapes.

为什么选 Halvad
一张有意义的地图
Many families from Halvad now live far away, in Ahmedabad, Mumbai or overseas. A map of the old town, with its lanes and its lake, is an elegant way to keep that home visible and to share it with the next generation.
Personalise the title and subtitle, in whatever words matter to you, and edit the coordinates line. Choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Paper and Sand suit the dry Gujarati landscape.
