Hexing Map Poster
Hexing is a town in the eastern part of Chongqing municipality, in the hilly country on the eastern edge of the Sichuan Basin. This region is shaped by long parallel ridges running northeast to southwest, with lower, rolling land between them. The town sits in this folded landscape, and its streets fill the flatter ground of a valley while the land rises on each side.
Around the town, the hills are covered with terraced fields, small reservoirs and scattered farmhouses. Roads cannot take a direct line here. They follow valley floors and climb in curves, so the road network appears as a series of winding threads that link the town to nearby villages and the larger towns of the district.
