Mountain slopes
Yatsugatake and the Southern Alps bound the city, and roads wind up their lower slopes, giving the map long, curving lines instead of a grid.

关于地图
Hokuto Map Poster & Print
Hokuto covers the northwestern corner of Yamanashi, and it is less a single town than a group of settlements spread across a wide mountain landscape. On the map, small clusters of streets sit in the valleys and on the lower slopes, linked by roads that follow rivers and contours.
The Yatsugatake range rises to the north and the Southern Alps, including Mount Kaikoma, to the west. Between them the land slopes toward the Kamanashi River. Forest and farmland fill most of the frame, with rice fields in the lower areas and woodland higher up.
The area is known for its clean water. Several bottled mineral water plants operate here, and the Hakushu whisky distillery uses water from the Southern Alps. A Hokuto map poster shows the scattered pattern of a place defined by mountains rather than city blocks.

Scattered settlements
Hokuto was formed from several towns and villages, so the map shows separate clusters of streets rather than one central core.
River valleys
Rivers run down from the mountains toward the Kamanashi, and the main roads and rail line follow these valleys through the city.

为什么选 Hokuto
一张有意义的地图
Hokuto appeals to people who have hiked, skied or kept a weekend house in the mountains of Yamanashi. The design is airy and irregular, and it looks especially good in the Paper and Noir styles.
You can change the title, add a date or a trail name as a subtitle and edit the coordinates line. The $9 files cover six print sizes, and printed posters ship from partners in more than 30 countries.
