Escarpment edge
The town's streets run up to the lip of the plateau and stop where the ground drops steeply, giving the poster a sharp natural border on one side.

关于地图
Iringa Map Poster & Print
Iringa sits high in Tanzania's southern highlands, on a plateau that ends in a sharp escarpment above the Little Ruaha River. From above, the town is a compact cluster of streets on the high ground. Roads fan out across the surrounding farmland, and the valley opens below. The contrast between the dense centre and the steep drop at its edge gives the plan an unusually clear outline.
The main highway linking Dar es Salaam with Zambia and the southern regions passes close to town. On a map it appears as a long, confident line cutting through smaller winding roads. Iringa is also known as the gateway to Ruaha National Park, one of the largest in Tanzania, which lies to the west. Many visitors pass through the town on their way there.
The area carries the memory of the Hehe people and their chief Mkwawa, who resisted German colonial forces in the 1890s. An Iringa map poster keeps things simpler than any history book: a pattern of streets holding to the plateau, a valley falling away beneath it, and the quiet geometry of a highland town in black and white.

Little Ruaha valley
Below the town the river winds through the valley, a thin line that contrasts with the denser street pattern on the high ground above.
Highway corridor
The long-distance road towards Zambia runs past Iringa as a strong continuous stroke, anchoring the composition against the finer web of local streets.

为什么选 Iringa
一张有意义的地图
If you have travelled through the southern highlands, worked in the region or started a safari from here, you probably remember Iringa by its setting on the hill. The poster puts that setting on the wall in a restrained form that suits a study, a hallway or an office.
You can change the title, add a subtitle with a date or a name, and edit the coordinates line. There are five styles to choose from: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Download the HD files for $9, or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
