Rail lines
Railway tracks and sidings serving the mining area cross the map as long, straight or gently curving lines, the most engineered features in the print.

关于地图
Joda Map Poster & Print
Joda lies in Keonjhar district in northern Odisha, close to the Jharkhand border, in one of India's most important iron and manganese ore belts. The surrounding country is hilly and forested, and the town's layout reflects both the terrain and the mining industry that sustains it.
From above, Joda is not a single compact centre but a group of settlements, including residential colonies, market streets and industrial sites, linked by roads and railway lines. Rail sidings serve the mines, and they appear on the map as long, deliberate strokes through an otherwise irregular landscape.
A Joda map poster records a working landscape: a town built around extraction, set among ridges and valleys. The mix of planned colony layouts, informal streets and infrastructure gives the composition an unusual, varied texture, quite different from the maps of older market towns across the region.

Planned colonies
Residential colonies built for workers follow regular layouts. They stand out from the more organic streets of the town's market areas.
Hill country
The surrounding ridges and forest keep the settlements apart and give the print large open areas that describe the rugged terrain.
