Residential grid
The town's housing areas follow a fairly regular street pattern, typical of planned mining settlements, and read as neat rectangular blocks on the map.

关于地图
Kambove Map Poster & Print
Kambove lies in Haut-Katanga province in the southeast of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, on the rolling plateau of the copperbelt. From above, the town appears as a modest network of streets and residential blocks, with the surrounding land marked by mine sites, access roads and open bush. The pattern reflects a settlement that grew up around industry rather than around a river or crossroads.
Copper and cobalt mining have defined the area for about a century, and Kambove was one of the early mining centres developed during the colonial era. It lies not far from Likasi, and road and rail links connect it to the wider copper industry of the region, which remains central to the Congolese economy.
A Kambove map poster makes the relationship between town and mine visible. The regular residential streets and the irregular shapes of the industrial zones sit side by side, and in black and white they form an unexpectedly graphic composition, precise and restrained. It is a portrait of a working town rather than a postcard view, and that honesty is much of its appeal.

Mining landscape
Around the town, the ground is shaped by mining activity, with large irregular areas and tracks that contrast strongly with the orderly residential streets.
Plateau setting
Kambove sits on the high plateau of southern Katanga, where open, gently rolling land extends in every direction and leaves generous empty space around the town on the poster.
