Forest access road
The single road from the Bolu side climbs through woodland in a series of bends. This long, winding line is the only connection between the resort and the valley below.

关于地图
Kartalkaya Map Poster & Print
Kartalkaya is a ski resort in Bolu Province, in the Köroğlu Mountains of northwestern Turkey. From above it appears as a compact group of large hotels at the end of a single mountain road, surrounded by thick pine and fir forest. The ski runs start at the edge of this cluster and spread across the open slopes higher up.
The resort is within a few hours' drive of both Istanbul and Ankara, which makes it one of the best-known winter destinations in the country. Its snowy forests surprise visitors who think of Turkey mainly as a summer destination. The wider Bolu region is also known for lakes such as Abant and Yedigöller, and for its long culinary tradition.
A Kartalkaya map poster is minimal by nature. Most of the detail comes from the winding access road, the small cluster of buildings and the lift lines climbing the slopes, while the forest and upper mountain stay open. It works best as a small, precise record of a particular winter visit.
