Harbour breakwaters
Long, straight moles enclose the port. They are the most geometric lines in a city that otherwise follows the land.

关于地图
Zonguldak Map Poster & Print
Zonguldak is on Turkey's western Black Sea coast, where forested hills drop sharply into the water. There is very little flat ground. From above, the city is pressed into a strip along the shore and a set of narrow valleys, and its streets climb and curve with the slopes rather than following a grid.
The city grew around coal. Hard coal was found in the area in the nineteenth century, and Zonguldak became the centre of Turkish coal mining, with a harbour built to ship it. Mining still shapes the city's identity, and the port breakwaters are among the clearest geometric features on the map.
A Zonguldak map poster shows a city defined by relief. Winding roads trace the contours, streets thin out as the hills get steeper, and the sea fills one side of the sheet as a single calm plane. Along the waterfront, the straight lines of the harbour contrast with everything else.

Valley streets
Neighbourhoods climb narrow valleys from the coast. Their roads twist and switch back, so each district forms its own branching pattern.
Black Sea edge
The coast runs along one side of the map as a clean, continuous line, with the open sea beyond it balancing the dense street pattern.

为什么选 Zonguldak
一张有意义的地图
This is a poster for miners' families, for people who grew up on these hills and for anyone who knows the western Black Sea coast. It records a working city in a form that looks as good as it means.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line with a name, a year or a short phrase. Then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Noir suits Zonguldak's coal heritage.
