关于地图
Kāsganj Map Poster & Print
Kāsganj is a town in western Uttar Pradesh and the headquarters of the district of the same name. It lies on the level alluvial plain of the Ganges basin, where farmland stretches in every direction. Towns here grow as dense knots of streets, linked across the fields by roads and railway lines.
On the map, the older part of town is a close mesh of narrow lanes and small blocks, and newer neighbourhoods stretch along the main roads in straighter lines. The land is very flat, so beyond the built area most of the detail comes from ponds, canals and field boundaries, with very little relief.
The nearby town of Soron, in the same district, is a long-established Hindu pilgrimage site close to the Ganges. A Kāsganj map poster shows the town itself in simple, even lines: a dense core, roads reaching out across the plain, and a pattern of fields filling the space around it.

Roads across the plain
Main roads leave the town in straight lines toward neighbouring towns and villages. They give the map a clear framework on flat, open ground.
Railway lines
Railway tracks pass through the town in long, smooth curves and straight runs. They contrast with the irregular pattern of the older streets.

为什么选 Kāsganj
一张有意义的地图
For people from Kāsganj who now live in larger cities or abroad, a map of the town is a way to keep hold of home: the lane of a family house, the road to the station, the market.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised with a family name, a wedding date or a short dedication. Choose one of five styles, then download the $9 HD files in six sizes or order a printed matte poster.
