Arya Vaidya Sala
The Ayurvedic institution founded in 1902 is the reason most people outside Kerala know the name Kōttakkal, and the town has grown in close connection with it.

关于地图
Kōttakkal Map Poster & Print
Kōttakkal lies in the Malappuram district of northern Kerala, a short distance inland from the Arabian Sea. The landscape here rolls gently over laterite hills, and on a map the town has no rigid grid. Roads follow ridges and valleys, branching into small lanes that reach homes set among coconut palms, paddy land and ponds.
The busiest parts sit along the main road through town, where junctions gather into a denser centre. Around them, houses spread widely, so built-up areas and greenery interleave all the way to the frame's edges. A Kōttakkal map poster makes this looser, organic pattern of Kerala settlement easy to read in fine black lines.
The town is known across India for Ayurveda. Vaidyaratnam P. S. Varier founded the Arya Vaidya Sala here in 1902, and it grew into one of the country's best-known Ayurvedic institutions, with hospitals, medicine factories and a research tradition. Many visitors first come for treatment and later remember the town as the place where they slowed down.

Ridge-and-valley roads
Instead of a grid, streets curve with the terrain, following higher ground and dipping into small valleys, which gives the map an irregular, branching look.
Green between houses
Palms, gardens and small fields fill the spaces between buildings, so the town fades gradually into countryside rather than ending at a clear edge.

为什么选 Kōttakkal
一张有意义的地图
Kōttakkal matters to people for different reasons. It is home to generations of Malappuram families and a place of healing for patients who came from far away. A map poster marks either connection quietly, without needing explanation.
Set your own title, add a subtitle such as the year of a stay or a family name, and adjust the coordinates line. It comes in Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand, as HD downloads or printed on matte paper.
