Periyar river
Kerala's longest river runs through the region in broad curves. On the map it provides the strongest line and the natural anchor for the whole design.

关于地图
Kuttampuzha Map Poster & Print
Kuttampuzha is a village panchayat in the east of Ernakulam district, Kerala, reaching up into the forested hills of the Western Ghats. It is often described as one of the largest panchayats in the state by area, and much of that area is forest. On a map the built-up parts appear as small clusters and ribbons of houses along a few roads.
Rivers shape the landscape. The Periyar and its tributaries run through the area, and the Thattekad bird sanctuary, named after the ornithologist Salim Ali, lies along the river nearby. Further into the hills, streams and reservoirs wind between the slopes, and their outlines are far more prominent on the page than the modest road network.
A Kuttampuzha map poster is less a street plan than a portrait of terrain. Watercourses, forest edges and the thin lines of human settlement fill the frame. It works well for anyone who knows this corner of Ernakulam, or who wants a map where nature, not the city, sets the composition.

Thattekad sanctuary
The Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary at Thattekad lies along the Periyar. It is a protected stretch of forest and water known to birdwatchers across India.
Forest roads
A few roads follow valleys and ridges through the woodland, with homes and small junctions strung along them instead of gathered in a single centre.

为什么选 Kuttampuzha
一张有意义的地图
Kuttampuzha means river, forest and quiet roads to the people who live there and those who have moved away. A map of the area brings that setting indoors, and it also appeals to anyone who loves the Western Ghats.
The title, subtitle and coordinates can be personalised, perhaps with a house name or a special date. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, and download print-ready PDF and PNG files with no watermark for $9.
