Palace ruins
The remains of Ahmed Bey's nineteenth-century palace form a large walled footprint within the town, standing apart from the smaller residential plots that have grown up around it.

关于地图
La Mohammedia Map Poster & Print
La Mohammedia lies on the open plain a short distance south of Tunis, far enough from the capital that the map shows fields between them rather than continuous city. The town grew along the roads leading out of Tunis, and from above it reads as a set of low residential blocks laid across gently rising ground, edged by agricultural plots.
The name recalls Ahmed Bey, the nineteenth-century ruler of Tunisia who built a large palace here in the 1840s, and its ruins still stand in the town. The wider area also lies along the route of the Roman aqueduct that once carried water from Zaghouan to Carthage, a reminder of how long this plain has served the capital.
A La Mohammedia map poster is a portrait of a town in transition between city and country. The lines are simple, mostly straight streets and connecting roads, and the surrounding blank space of fields gives the composition a calm, open frame. It suits anyone who knows the place from daily commutes or family visits.

Roads toward Tunis
Main routes run north toward the capital and south into the countryside, and the town's growth clearly follows them, stretching out along these lines rather than around a single centre.
Farmland edges
Beyond the built-up area the map opens into agricultural land, so the town appears as a distinct cluster with softly irregular boundaries against the plain.

为什么选 La Mohammedia
一张有意义的地图
For families who have lived here for generations or moved out from Tunis more recently, the map is a plain and honest record of home. It shows the real shape of the town without decoration, which is exactly why it works on a wall.
Personalise it with a title, a subtitle or a meaningful date, and adjust the coordinates line. Five styles are available, from Classic black & white and Noir to Paper, Blueprint and Sand, as $9 HD files or a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
