Central square grid
The town is laid out as a grid of blocks around its main square. This regular core is the densest part of the map and makes a clear focal point.

关于地图
La Unión Map Poster & Print
La Unión is a municipality in the north of Valle del Cauca, on the western side of the Cauca River valley, where the flat plain meets the first slopes of the Western Cordillera. From above, the town centre is a compact grid of blocks around a main square, following the Spanish colonial plan common to Colombian towns. The land drops toward cultivated flats on one side and rises into hills on the other.
The area is known as one of Colombia's main grape-growing districts, and vineyards and fruit farms surround the town. At the edges of the map, this shows up as a finely divided pattern of fields. The local economy has long depended on fruit, and grapes, wine and juices are closely tied to the town's identity.
A La Unión map poster captures this meeting of ground and grid: tidy blocks at the centre, the fine texture of vineyards around them, and the rising terrain to the west. It is a clean, balanced composition that makes sense to anyone who knows the northern Valle, or who has family roots in the town.

Vineyards and orchards
Grape and fruit farms surround the urban area in small, closely spaced plots. On the poster they appear as a fine mosaic of fields around the edge of town.
Between plain and hills
East of town the floor of the Cauca valley stays flat, while the western side rises into the cordillera. The shift from flat land to slopes frames the whole composition.

为什么选 La Unión
一张有意义的地图
For many people from the Valle del Cauca, La Unión is linked to grapes, family visits and the view across the valley. A map of the town keeps that connection visible in a home far away, without needing any caption.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, in Spanish or English, and choose one of five styles. The $9 digital download includes six print sizes, and printed posters on matte paper can be ordered with a wooden frame.
