Loose town centre
The central streets form a denser cluster, gradually loosening into residential quarters, which gives the poster a soft, organic outline rather than a hard edge.

关于地图
Lodja Map Poster & Print
Lodja is the largest town in Sankuru province, in the middle of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Its map is less formal than a colonial-era grid: a loose centre of streets gives way to wide residential quarters, and dirt roads run out across the surrounding country. The town is served by an airstrip, which appears as one long, straight line on its edge.
The region is closely associated with the Tetela people, and Lodja acts as a market and administrative hub for a large rural hinterland. Roads in this part of the country are often unpaved and difficult in the rainy season, which makes the town an important meeting point. From above, the transition from built-up area to forest and savanna is gradual and uneven.
A Lodja map poster draws that pattern in fine black lines: the dense centre, the scattered neighbourhoods and the routes leaving town. It is a meaningful piece for people from Sankuru who now live far away, and it offers a view of a place that is rarely seen in print.

Airstrip
A long runway on the edge of town stands out as the straightest line on the map, a reminder of how important air links are to the region.
Roads into the interior
Unpaved routes lead out of Lodja in several directions, connecting it with villages and towns across a wide stretch of forest and savanna.

为什么选 Lodja
一张有意义的地图
A map of Lodja is a quiet way to honour a home town that is far from the usual travel routes. It works as a family piece, as a gift, or as a reminder of a period spent working in central Congo.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line are all yours to edit, and the five styles range from crisp Classic to dark Noir. Download the HD files for $9 and print locally, or order a finished poster with an optional wooden frame.
