关于地图
Lyantor Map Poster & Print
Lyantor lies in the Surgut district of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, in the middle of the West Siberian lowland. The town grew with the development of nearby oil fields in the late Soviet period and received town status in the 1990s. On a map it is a compact, planned settlement surrounded by forest, bogs, lakes and industrial roads.
The residential district is laid out in large blocks with wide streets and courtyards, typical of towns built for oil and gas workers across the region. Beyond it the land is wet and flat. The map shows countless small lakes and marshes, crossed by straight access roads and pipeline routes heading out into the taiga.
The Pim River flows near the town and adds a winding line to an otherwise measured composition. A Lyantor map poster captures the unusual geometry of a Siberian oil town: a rectangle of urban life inside a vast natural landscape. It will mean most to those who have lived and worked in the north.

Lakes and marshes
Countless small lakes and wetlands surround the town. They give the edges of the poster the irregular, scattered texture typical of the West Siberian lowland.
Oil field roads
Straight service roads and pipeline corridors run from the town into the surrounding taiga. They trace the industry that brought Lyantor into being.

为什么选 Lyantor
一张有意义的地图
Many people spent years or decades in Lyantor, working on the oil fields or raising families, before moving south or west. A map of the town keeps the memory of its streets, its courtyards and the long winters.
Personalise the title and subtitle with a name, a year or a short dedication, and set the coordinates to a former address. Choose from five styles, then download HD files for $9 or order a printed poster on matte paper.
